I'm a big basketball fan and I owe this to a PC game that no longer runs under Windows 10. When I recently brought my laptop (Windows 7) in for repair, I was not only implanted with a new hard drive but also installed Windows 10 (without ever demanding this performance). Since this basketball game (NBA Live 2003) is sacred to me, I bought it on Amazon Windows 7 as an ISO file and burned it to a CD. I now have Windows 7 again, but with some (hardware) problems, e.g. No internet access (neither my router nor other internet sources are found / displayed) and my graphics card is not recognized or displayed as a "standard VGA graphics card". Furthermore, one of the 3 USB ports no longer works - and these are only the things that I have noticed so far. (I'm just a layman, but in Device Manager there are still a few entries next to which the icon is a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark, it doesn't look right ^^) I'm also unsure whether I should now Activate the key because there's "10 days left for the activation", but with Windows as it is now, I can't do much and I do not know whether the license key will be invalid if I want to reinstall Windows at some point? At the beginning of the Windows installation you had to choose between "with all updates (recommended)" or "without updates" - since there's an update that affects the copy protection of some older games (which affects mine), I thought I do it without updates, or make up the necessary later later (I've done it now), but maybe. Should I have installed it with updates - is that because? What can I do? Of course there are no more updates for Windows 7, but that only restricts security - my internet and all my hardware should still work?! I have tried everything to be able to play my game again - from viritinal machines to the purchase of Windows 7 to countless Google searches. The store where I had my laptop repaired is closed because of Corona, so I can't go to them. It would be great, if somebody could help me! LG
If you have installed the Teamviewer on the PC, I can look at that.
I just installed Teamviewer but do I need an internet connection on the PC? Because it doesn't work, I'm on my cell phone right now
You can connect the cell phone to the PC as a modem. Then you have internet.
I'm sorry, I'm not that skilled, how do I do that?
Connect the cell phone to the PC via USB cable and then activate USB TETHERING in the cell phone.
Settings> Cellular network> Tethering & portable hotspot
Ah thank you very much! Well I have to go to work now and I need my cell phone, I hope it will be ok if I register again tonight, or otherwise on Friday, because I would have all day because of the holiday.
How do we stay now?
I wanted to send you an email but I can't find the last comments anymore. Anyway, I got a tip and most of it works again, only when starting up there's always an error message that the dolby audio driver version is wrong
And I wait all evening and wonder that no one answers. 👍
Should I still look at the PC again?
Sorry to answer only now, I was at work and my time was quite limited. I think I can do it with the audio driver and everything else is running again - thank you anyway, not only for offering help, but thanks to you I learned what tethering is. I'm just sorry for the circumstances. ^^
