I have had several laptops in the past few years, currently an Asus device.
However, I'm not really satisfied, the device was no longer in use after a short time, as it was with the laptops in front of it always. Everything loads eternities and hangs up. I'm looking for a device that I can use for work, i. Create and publish websites, write documents and conduct research on the Internet.
Do you have experience with reliable devices?
Do you consider an Apple device suitable for this area?
If it does not necessarily have to be a laptop:
Some have them in our office:
Yes, Mac Book is great, but more expensive, but it works better for longer. Write on an Air from 2013, he also does everything else well.
Everything loads eternities and hangs up.
That does not depend on the manufacturer and model of the laptop. If an old or particularly power-efficient processor is in it, as well as a lame eMMC disk, Windows updates take an hour or so instead of a few minutes with an SSD and decent CPU. If the computer hangs, but that is more of a sign of a malfunction or defective software. This can be repaired in individual cases, with the vague statement "everything hangs on" is not possible.
Apple laptops are great and expensive. I prefer to work with used business laptops from Lenovo. I bought a X230, 8 GB RAM, Win10 Professional, 240 GB SSD for less than 200 euro. With external keyboard and screen is great for working, and lightweight and compact to carry.
But if you fill it with software, you also get it to no longer run smoothly. A proper installation is required: activate BIOS updates, TRIM commands of the SSD, virus protection, regular updates and backups, etc. Then the computer purrs too.
Unfortunately this no longer applies to the model 2018/19. Bad luck and mishaps is the new credo.
Said someone who basically does not like Apple or has never had one.
