I have the following problem with my notebook (manufacturer: ASUS) the screen turns completely black as soon as I remove the charging cable the laptop does not turn off it still runs normally in the background only the screen is completely black and you can see nothing.
Is it the battery in the laptop?
Does this need to be replaced?
Ask for helpful answers on how to fix this problem or suggestions for solutions.
The causes can be very diverse. My "flickers" only on battery power, but that doesn't matter to me, since it is now a device that is almost 5 years old from the gaming corner and can only be operated properly on the network anyway.
If you have the opportunity, you can of course borrow a battery (I wouldn't buy one). I would rather guess a problem with the graphics card. Try connecting an external monitor and see what happens.

The device was bought in 2016.
