I bought a gaming laptop and did not look at which port he still has, that I want to connect my asus rog swift 144hz WQHD to it. And already I have a huge problem, since my screen has only Displayport and the laptop only hdmi… And I do not want to do without my 144hz and 2k, I would like to know if there's irgentein converter that can supply me the 144hz and 2k? Would be very happy about an answer I despair of…
Please use correct resolutions or at least correct names, 2k can just as well be FullHD (almost 2000 pixels in the horizontal), since you still wrote WQHD, I assume 1440p…
First, your laptop would need a HDMI> = 2.0 output, so it can work at all.
If this is the case, a passive adapter from HDMI> = 2.0 to DP> = 1.2 would suffice, but it will be very hard to find such a thing, it is easier to find active adapters, but they are also quite expensive (for example, here: https://www.amazon.com/...07C39QBSF).
So I did not find much there, only maybe max. 60Hz. Do you have other connections on the laptop? Thunderbolt?
Okay thanks
The laptop has only USB 3.1 and still USB C without thunderbolt. This is so sad I did not know that between hdmi and display port so war gives.
So it could also work with the USB C, I'm not sure.
It is worth a try:

PS: The other way around, it would not be a problem either, because Displayport dominated the functionality DP ++ from 1.1. This function provides automatic detection of the connection and converts it directly. The graphics card must also support this.
Perfect thank you? Looks pretty good, but creates the cable WQHD and 144hz? : /
I'm worried about the USB-C port because it has to support "DisplayPort Alternate Mode". Is zb. For this cable at:
Yes great and how should you know if he supports the "displayport Alternate mode"? Have a look where I bought him there's nothing.
Was just on a side of Acer and have said that there are models in which the USB C can only transfer data, but since my was not listed so I think it has mine.
As I said I would just try it.
