For several months I have seen these two blue arrows on many apps in my Asus laptop.

What does this sign mean and is it possible that my device has viruses?

My laptop got mixed up and needed helpful answer?

However, the double arrow indicates that the folder or file has been compressed. This can be reversed again, but Win10 does that only if there's little space available.

Right click → Properties → General - Click on Advanced → Then there's the option with compression.

That's called linking.

A program is usually started with the help of a * .exe file. But now you do not want to have all * .exe files in your desktop folder. Some * .exe files must also be in certain folders for them to work.

Behind the link is the command to start the file XY.exe, which is located in the folder "bla".

Blue arrows is quite normal, and is so so synonymous with me. This is simply a sign for files shortcut. Of course, I somehow managed that the files despite linking no arrows is displayed, but unfortunately I do not know how I did that.
