New charger for a 10 year old laptop?

Whenever I plug my charging cable into the laptop, the screen on the left starts to flicker. Can I buy a charging cable for the 10 year old laptop or is that no longer possible?

Fo

A management cable alone is of no use to you. If so, you'd have to buy a power supply (with a cable).

Unfortunately, you haven't revealed which laptop you have.

The data for the power supply are on it. Then only the plug has to fit.

Please enter "charging cable with power supply for laptop…" on Google. (e.g. ASUS G l77-09 RS> fantasy name)

The type designation is on the bottom. Then hopefully you will get ads for your laptop. Either original parts or corresponding cables that are suitable for your laptop.

Yes, exactly, a power supply. It's a Samsung with Windows 7. But the laptop is from 2010.

Si

Sure, give us the manufacturer and model. The voltage and current are usually stated on the power supply unit, e.g. 19V 4.7 A

The number is longer, but the last part fits: CPA09-004A. Can I then buy such a charging cable? There are more in front of the letters I have written.

Si

Output V and A are required. Nearby is 220V or 230V.

Fo

Samsung made more than one laptop in 2010, so no one can know which power adapter you will need. Why don't you look at your power supply? There's the information you need.
