I'm currently looking for a laptop with a CD drive, a fairly large screen and which is suitable for playing games like Sims 4 or Minecraft and for watching films and series.

It depends on how much you want to spend but then get a good gaming laptop. For example one from razer. They are pretty good
Or if you don't gamble a lot you can get a Mac book or a laptop from Windows (surface)
I play a lot but on the Ps4 but I find Minecraft and Sims on a laptop / PC just awesome
