The laptop is very weak but for simple office applications, this is enough.
Just enough for Word and Excel. I would not necessarily buy it, but 200 euro are just calculated extremely tight
I miss:
pre-installed Windows
8GB Ram
Well:
128GB SSD
Are you relying on Microsoft's Word and Excel? Have you ever tried word https://docs.google.com/...ument/u/0/ instead of Excel https://docs.google.com/...heets/u/0/?
Then an Android tablet with keyboard cover would offer, because you get for 200 euro already good equipment
I would install a Linux distribution on this device as operating system. For example, Peppermint OS. This is based on Ubuntu and runs extremely fast even with only 4GB of RAM. It requires less system resources than Windows. The desktop has a start menu, looks modern and also has transparency effects. Here is the download: https://peppermintos.com/iso/Peppermint-9-20190102-amd64.iso
Then flash this ISO with this tool https://www.balena.io/...io/etcher/ on a USB stick.
Boot this stick afterwards. Insert the stick, switch on the device and immediately press F2. You are now in the UEFI. There you have to disable secureboot and put the stick in the boot order in the first place. Save and exit. The device restarts and now boots the stick. Just follow the instructions of the installer. He immediately sets up the WLAN and can also completely erase the hard disk. I recommend a full installation. You should also choose third-party software.
After completing the installation and the first start, the update manager will appear at the bottom right. One should install these updates. The update manager takes care of the system and the installed programs. You do not have to update each program individually as with Windows. Updating can also be completely automated. If a new version of Peppermint-OS is released, the update manager will also announce it and offer an update. The settings and the own files are kept.
For licensing reasons, the Flashplayer is not installed on Linux. But you can easily install it. To do this, start the terminal and enter the following command:
sudo apt install flashplugin-installer -y
This installs a script that always automatically downloads and installs the latest Flashplayer from the Adobe page. If a new version of Flashplayer appears, the Update Manager will report it and offer an update.
The Microsoft fonts are also available for Linux. Enter the following command in the terminal:
sudo apt install ttf-mscorefonts-installer
A software center can be used to install programs. This looks like a kind of Appstore and is also served. Here you will find, for example Libreoffice, GIMP image editing, VLC player and many more programs.
