I have a problem. I want to enable Virtualization on my laptop, I've already plugged into the boot settings, but nowhere is "cpu configuration" or anything with virtualization. Can you tell me how to enable virtualization?
What kind of CPU is installed? Possibly. Does not support virtualization.
AMD A8-6410 APU with AMD Radeon R5 Graphics 4 × 1.8 Ghz with Turbo Clock 2.4 Ghz
Why do you want to activate it?
And under Windows 10 it is not set in the BIOS. There, only the CPU capability is turned on. Under Win10 you have to Enable Hyper-V.
I would like to use several processor cores in VirtualBox for this I also have to activate Hyper V, how can I activate Hyper V?
Hyper-V is a hypervisor as well as virtual box. You should not run them side by side at the same time.
Your board or CPU may not support the features you're looking for.
The AMD A8-6410 APU dominates "AMD-V" as virtualization technology. If you can't find a corresponding setting in the BIOS, which could also be called "VT" or "VT-x", you should look for a newer BIOS. Go to the websites of the computer or motherboard manufacturer and search there.
BIOS updates are not harmless. The computer may be defective in isolated cases afterwards. A backup of the data is required anyway: By definition, all data that you do not have a backup, unimportant!
Thanks, I'll try
