You shouldn't have done that. It is important that the thermal paste is properly distributed to the heat sink. If in doubt, go to a specialist.

In most notebooks it is soldered and can't be removed.
So first of all I assume that you have not put your notebook back together correctly. Maybe a plug was forgotten somewhere, a cable torn off or something, it's hard to say what happened there.
Touching a pin usually doesn't damage it. Problems can only arise if you scratch, bend or stain them. Static discharge can also damage computers if you touch sensitive components.
Therefore, it is not so easy to say why the PC is no longer working, because the fact that you have touched a pin will not be the reason.
