Yesterday I bought a new laptop and I wanted to test it and opened YouTube. When I wanted to watch some videos, came a very funny advertisement. This ad had some video thumbnail image. But the title and the description did not fit the picture. Besides, you can't close the ad. Why is that?
I have too. There's an invisible X in the upper right corner, just click on it. Is a virus in Crome. But with an adblocker you can disable them.
But I use Edge…
Is definitely a virus. Adblocker itself does not help much, you have to block the ads manually.
The problem with off-the-shelf devices is that they come with a bunch of preinstalled software. Software that normally does not need a human, which often even slows down the system unnecessarily strong and in some cases even aggressively embeds advertising in other applications. But the main thing the manufacturers have earned again a few euro by playing this dirt on the devices.
Go under Settings / Apps the list and throw down what you do not need. A quick Google search for the applications reveals whether unknown installations are something useful or garbage.
In addition, it can't hurt to make a system run using the trial version https://de.malwarebytes.com/...-download/. My personal experience with new equipment of several customers is that often a handful of potentially malicious software is inherently in the system and the computer after a first basic cleanup also significantly better run.
Download adblock and then your problem is eaten.
I've already done that, but somehow it's gone again… It's definitely a virus at work. But why did my anti-virus show nothing?
Just download Adwcleaner, and all your unwanted downloaded software will be gone, but it will also affect your advertising virus.
