Dynamic DNS update is not working?

I have a small external access server on my laptop at home.

I get my domain via NoIP

However, this is not updated if I enter my data in my Fritzbox. Therefore, I have to enter my own IP every day.

That's not a problem in itself, but if I'm away from home for several days, I lose control of the server.

That's why I should absolutely somehow run the IP update over the router.

Are there any things I need to keep in mind, actually that's not so complicated…

Bi

No.

Al

Does that mean that there's no possibility, or that you just do not want to help me?

Li

You could also run the DUC (Dynamic DNS Update Client) of noip directly on the server: https://www.noip.com/support/knowledgebase/section/dynamic-dns-update-clients/

Al

I'll try the same time, thanks for the tip

Li

I would not know a Linux system on which it is not running (except possibly some extremely special systems with up to vomiting adapted kernels, in which the entire system above the kernel consists of a single several 100 MiB large statically linked binary ^^) ,

Sry, I've looked it up for Linux, but I did not find that back then.
