Why is my WLAN no longer displayed on my laptop?

I hope someone here can help me. When I came back to my flat share from "vacation" with my parents, my laptop suddenly couldn't find the WLAN. My cell phone didn't have any problems and it connected automatically immediately. It also shows me all Wi-Fi networks in the vicinity on my laptop, just not mine. Does any of you know why this could be and how I can fix the problem?

My laptop was able to connect to my parents' Wi-Fi without any problems and found it straight away, and before my vacation this wasn't a problem in the shared apartment either.

If I plug in the power cord in the shared apartment, I can access the Internet, but as soon as I want to use the WLAN normally, the laptop can no longer find the network. It can't be due to the router, because I can connect to the cell phone without any problems, right?

I look forward to your answers and hope that one of you can help me.

Windows or Mac?

Windows

Ah

What kind of laptop do you have, the Wi-Fi only has 5ghz and not 2.4 and 5.0

br

Have a Lenovo laptop with Windows 8

Re

Go to the device manager in the control panel. It sometimes happens that the Wi-Fi module is deactivated. It should then be displayed there that it is deactivated (with a kind of arrow) … 🙃

Ah

Yes, Lenovo only has one.

Please model name

Re

As I understood it should have worked before right?

I can't find anything about the Wi-Fi module in the device manager

Re

It should be one of the marked ones. Otherwise you can start troubleshooting… Image: https://drive.google.com/...sp=sharing
