Hi there,
I removed this drive from my old laptop. It has a SATA 'connector' and I would like to use it as an external drive for my new laptop. Can I just buy a USB - SATA adapter and use the drive as an external one?
Edit - I can see… The isn dvd drive. Or? Since my link brings nothing of course…

there are housings for plates. You just have to put it in there
SATA is not enough, there has to be a power connector
I suspect too, but it depends on a try. There are USB adapters that deliver both, whether it works is questionable. Buying an external DVD burner is probably just as expensive.
Just post the link to the question mark:

Everything that comes afterwards only reveals details about what you do Ebay beforehand, you do not necessarily want to publish that. The same applies to links from Amazon.
You can sell that on Ebay. So it's not worth it because the adapter also costs something. Pollin.de has cheap external USB drives.
