How do I download Google Drive?

My laptop was stolen from me. Now I want to load my Google Drive on my friend's laptop. But somehow that does not work out right. When I googled "Download Google Drive" and then installed it on your laptop, it somehow wanted to upload their data. What should I do? Can I just download it online from my mailbox?
