Flat Rj-45 connector?

I'm looking for a new laptop and have chosen this model: https://geizhals.de/...ml?hloc=de

If you look at the pictures, you'll see that the existing LAN port is flat and can probably open down, like some other models.

Since I want to use this laptop but professionally and the connection is to be plugged in and out every day, I do not know how long he would join in this. (I do not want to use Wi-Fi)

Therefore, I thought, it should also give this plug with a flat cable to protect the connection. Unfortunately, I did not find anything in my search and I do not even know what to look for.

What do you call a flat connector? (if there's such a thing)

The connectors are standardized, there's no flat plug. If you are careful when plugging in and out, then you should stop there.

This form of LAN port to notebooks are just the trend for ever flatter devices owed…

OK.

That there are no alternative RJ45 plug, you know already.

I would recommend you to get a USB docking station. They usually have a LAN port, USB ports and some even a USB graphics card for external monitors. Thus, DU have in the best case only a USB port to a / unplug and all existing USB devices and network connections run on this one port. This eliminates the need to permanently connect / disconnect multiple devices. Without monitor connection (if no extra monitor is to be used) they are already very cheap to get.

Ideal would have been if it was a notebook with integrated docking port and a suitable docking station. Then the USB will be spared and you would just need to put the notebook on it until it clicks into place and all connections including power adapter would be made.

Thank you for your answer. I've looked at the things. Looks very interesting!

DA with the flat connection and the flap is not critical. I have for years.

If you want to reduce the mechanical load, you can get a flat patch cable, which are more flexible

And if you have a well-adjusted WLKAN infrastructure, wlan is absolutely sufficient - of course, depending on the task.

Thanks first for your answer. As you realized, I'm looking for a flatter patch cable. But also on the side, what you have linked there's not something like that. And WLAN should not be used as I said.

Sure, that's, leaves continue down.
