Who can tell me what this hard drive connector (laptop) is called?

I have a functional notebook with a touchscreen (Fujitsu-Siemens T4010d) where the hard drive has been removed.

Now I want to install one again, but I don't have the right connector cable,

and that's my starting point, I don't even know what the connector is called.

Does anyone know anything there? Does anyone know what type of hard drive is being searched for?

It has, I counted, 25 pins on each socket side, so it is a 2x25 pin connector.

Maybe someone knows which hardware forum is the best place to ask such a question? So far it has brought nothing.

The hard drive has SATA but this coupling piece in between what you are missing seems to be some special connector.

There's definitely no product or manufacturer-specific adapter for the plate. Judging from your photos (which is difficult to see), even the mounting frame is missing. Where did you get that thing from?

Ma

That should be the connection for a 2.5 "ideal hard disk. In the original it had a 60GB disk.

But it is very old and can hardly be used if you don't want to open a museum.

the hard drive costs around 30 euro new

you will probably also be able to purchase the appropriate cables from these dealers.

I bought this on ebay as a voluntary addition to another device. Was butchered. I have already found the right DVD drive and power supply. Only this part is not. Have ever bought a connector cable, the plug was the same height, but was 40-pin.

Ar

That will have been an old 2.5 "IDE disk ^^ I have now found no adapter, but maybe the individual parts can be auctioned again…

Ma

You don't necessarily need all pins for ide

Ar

In the 2.5 "segment of the IDE boards, not only the data but also the power supply run through the 40 pins. But that is not the issue here… We don't want to confuse the questioner with a technical discussion.
