Oculus Rift S to USB-C?

Since my nVidia 3d Vision is absolutely no longer compatible with my new laptop, I want to buy the Oculus Rift S.

The problem is that the laptop only has HDMI and USB-C as the video output, but the Oculus uses Displayport.

Does anyone have experience with this VR device and adapter from USB-C to Displayport?

This depends on a usb port. If it is a usb 3.2 then it would work.
