Avast antivirus disconnects from the internet?

I currently have a suspicion that I have a virus and have therefore scanned my laptop with avast and there are actually a few things. I go to fix and then avast loads something and then says "the online content is unavailable please, check your internet connection and try again" but my internet is good and connected?

Avast is a virus protection program, which in my experience is not always necessarily good or there's a virus disguised as Avast. Therefore, I recommend using Kaspersky. Kaspersky costs something, but Kaspersky cleans the computer thoroughly and finds all malicious files on the computer.
