Haven't had a videoconference yet and I'm going to have some this week because of school… I mainly wonder how to "report". So I guess that the students are all muted until they want to say something. But when the camera is off, how do you tell the teacher that you want to say something? Is a laptop with an integrated camera and microphone enough? What other experiences have you had with video conferencing in school?
You can raise your hand depending on the software.
That means the teacher sees who wants to say something.
What is the video conference about? Teams?
Depending on the software, you can click on a raise hand icon and your teacher will see that
Depends on the software. In some there's a button that you can click, with which you virtually virtually raise your hand. Then the teacher sees that.
I think differently. A teacher said she wants to use BBB, but no plan what that is.
I think the teacher will explain exactly how questions should be asked in the video conference. You can either ask questions in the chat or dismantle the microphone briefly to ask something.
At first I would leave the camera and microphone off and wait for what the teacher says and what the others are doing. And yes, a normal laptop should be enough, you don't need any extra equipment.
