Unix / Linux on the notebook or Windows tuning?

I have a 2 year old notebook with Windows 10.

I only work with Office and the Internet.

The notebook has become so slow that it is hardly usable / bearable.

Does it make sense to carry out any tuning measures for Windows here?

If yes, which?

Or does it make sense to switch to Unix in order to be more efficient?

Simply back up your data and reinstall Windows, then it runs again.
