External hard drive performance?

I have a laptop that doesn't have too much memory. (CPU and GPU are sufficient) πŸ”΄

I would like to pack games like GTA or Ark with over 50 GB on an external one

Can I then simply connect the external device to the laptop and play like this, and will the performance / speed decrease? And how strong? ⚑

Please help because I have to hurry and really have no idea. πŸ₯΅

If you can recommend an external one pleaseπŸ™ a link.

Does your laptop even manage GTA?

I'm not so sure if a laptop can do the job

Fo

Loading times in the game will take longer, but nothing changes in the FPS (frames per second) performance.

Should his laptop do it, my laptop is already 4 years old and still packs GTA with 60+ FPS, but with some stutters in between.

Recommendation if an external hard drive then an external SSD such as https://www.amazon.de/...B0742KVRJR

Yes, I have already mentioned that the GPU and CPU are built and sufficient for this. πŸ˜‰πŸ™

If the laptop has USB 3.0 or higher, this is not a problem with an external hard drive / SSD.
