I wanted to ask whether it makes sense to let a laptop charge while gaming and remove the charging cable as soon as it is charged. I've just heard different things about "no, definitely not", "yes, it's even better" and "it depends", which is why I'm rather confused. The battery level goes down quickly while gaming, at the moment I stop playing when it has about 20% and then recharge it. But the constant interruption is getting annoying.
My laptop is new so I don't want to break it right now. I don't gamble often but about 1-2 times a week, I'm a student and unfortunately I don't have enough time. For the most part, I would use this laptop for class (→ Office applications) and occasionally gamble on the weekend.
→ means that it would only be at the store every now and then on weekends during use, otherwise not.
Unfortunately, I can't remove the battery itself.
I would leave it on the power supply whenever possible. Most of the time you also have more power.
I always leave mine on the power supply. But my full battery goes down to 10% after about 5 minutes.
The problem is that charging and using it at the same time whenever the laptop needs more power than the power supply delivers, the charging process is interrupted and the battery discharges a little. The so-called microcycles are what wear down the battery.
So rather not charge while using it?
If it doesn't have to be, better not. I'll say the battery doesn't go straight into the grits, if you do the MAL, it's okay…
