As soon as the prices for graphics cards have recovered, I would like to put together my first own PC. Unfortunately, I have little idea about it, because until now I've always gambled on finished PCs or laptops. I don't want to spend more than 1000 euro.
Pc:
Seagate BarraCuda Compute 2TB
Samsung SSD 860 EVO 500GB
AMD Ryzen 5 3600,
G.Skill Aegis DIMM Kit 16GB
MSI B450 Gaming Pro
Corsair Carbide Series 110R
Corsair CV Series CV550, 550W ATX
RTX 3070
Did I make a mistake when choosing the components or is it justifiable? By the time the graphics cards have normalized again, the remaining components will probably also have become a bit cheaper.
PS: I don't need RGB, even if I lose 10-20 fps as a result.
Psu is probably too weak. I would go with 650w at least. Otherwise everything fits
I would not do without rgb because performance is too important to me…
Would recommend a thicker power supply 650w upwards
You should plan for a 2nd SSD.
If the games and the operating system are on the same hard drive, this often leads to stuttering. You can prevent that if you have 2 hard drives, one for Win and one for games.
The problem is that nobody knows exactly when the prices will normalize or if they will do that at all.
So if you don't want to wait that long until a 3070 is affordable, I would take a 3400 g instead of you and don't install an extra graphics card. The Vega 11 of the 3400 g is actually sufficient for many games.
If at some point prices should normalize, take a look at the 3060 ti again. It is in and of itself the price-performance winner compared to the 3070. Then you can get there with 1,000 euro more than with the 3070.
It all looks good.
The power supply unit can have 600 / 650W if a 3070 is to be installed. PSUs do not run efficiently if they are used over 80% (same applies to under 40%). A more powerful power supply would also run quieter.
Remember that there's only one fan installed in the case. An extra case fan at the front as an intake would be good.
But that with efficiency also works the other way around: a power supply unit that is too strong is also inefficient with little consumption.
But the size of your PSU is completely correct, of course.
That's right, one fan should really not be enough. Somehow I had in mind that the 3 would be built in.
For your 1000, - € you don't even get an RTX 3070 at the moment, or maybe just like that, nothing more. You don't even have to think about the rest of it.
I know. That's why I'm still waiting. There's no hurry.
I wouldn't buy a new B450 motherboard for the Ryzen 5 3600. You can now get B550 boards at similar prices and they are simply the better basis for the Ryzen 5 3600 processor.

Why take a 2.5 "SATA SSD today. You can find the faster M.2 NVMe SSD's at very similar prices.

I would also use a 16GB DDR4-3200 dual channel RAM kit, without XMP overclocking, for maximum stability and a long service life, even if this RAM has a slightly higher latency. However, this fully corresponds to the DDR4 RAM specification according to JEDEC.

For the B550 ATX mainboards you now also need the Corsair Carbide R110 or another ATX case, not a µATX. The 550W power supply is sufficient for this system and the necessary connections are also available.
That's right, I added that once.
