Can you use a curved stretched monitor with Ps4?

I got myself a curved stretched gaming monitor from Lg (lg 34gl750-b) and tried it out on my Ps4 and my gaming leptop. On my laptop it worked for some games but not all of them. Unfortunately, it doesn't work with the Ps4. The Ps4's menu is completely blurry, the screen goes black and gray all the time, and then after a short while all I see is black. I also have large black borders on the side. Can someone help?

So you definitely can't use it in its native resolution. But it should work with black stripes on the left and right.
