What do you say about the PC build?

I'm still inexperienced when it comes to PCs (so far only console & laptop, slowly enough) and wanted to assemble a decent PC that is also primarily designed for gaming (not only). Budget is about 1000 euro + -300 euro, but still has to get the mouse & keyboard and a screen.

I got most parts recommended by a friend and would like to know if they are all okay, if I'm missing something, if there are cheaper options and if everything is compatible (CPU, mainboard, case etc.).

AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6x 3.60GHz So.AM4 BOX (CPU)

6GB KFA2 GeForce GTX 1660 Super OC GDDR6 (graphics card)

16GB (2x 8192MB) G.Skill Aegis DDR4-3000 DIMM CL16-18-18-38 Dual Kit (RAM)

500 watts be quiet! Pure Power 11 CM Modular 80+ Gold (power supply)

500GB Crucial MX500 2.5 "(6.4cm) SATA 6Gb / s 3D-NAND TLC (CT500MX500SSD1) (SSD)

2000GB Seagate Barracuda Compute ST2000DM008 256MB 3.5 "(8.9cm) SATA 6Gb / s (HDD)

ASRock B450M Steel Legend AMD B450 So.AM4 Dual Channel DDR4 mATX Retail (Mainboard)

Fractal Design Focus G with viewing window Midi Tower without power supply black (case)

32 "(81.28cm) AOC C32G1 black / red 1920x1080 1xDisplayPort / 2xHDMI 1.4 / 1xVGA (screen)

So I already have such a basic understanding, but since I have never dealt with the individual parts so far, I do not know exactly whether everything fits there.

Maybe your board needs a bios update. Better get an MSI max board that runs 100% without an update

Yes, the composition looks good and trendsetting!
Otherwise you can also orientate yourself on specialist magazines.
I myself have adhered to the composition of Gamestar, there are certainly other trade magazines and websites, but here is the link, there are several options for your budget:

So you also get an RX 5700 XT for your budget. Currently I would choose an AMD graphics card because of the price performance. This also makes buying a monitor cheaper, since Freesync is significantly cheaper than G-Sync.

You need a MAX mainboard, otherwise you will have problems with the BIOS updates.

Please don't get a 32 inch monitor with FHD. You will be able to count pixels. At least WQHD in size. I would recommend a 27 '' with WQHD and 144hz. They are also available at the price level. Best with FreeSync

To be honest. Ryzen 5 3600 and 3000Mhz Ram. Takes the 3200, just costs 2-3 euro more. And personally I'm not convinced by Steel Legend. I would rather switch to this little thing https://amzn.to/...to/2tQ4QsB

or asrock b450 and then retrofit the missing RGB stuff with Ram and AIO Wakü.

The mainboard above is immediately compatible with all 3000 Cpus and you have an external bios flash button which is great.

Shorten something, or do not need a gold + power supply and buy an m.2 ssd for the money.

pa

I'll write you what I would build.

Mainboard: https://amzn.to/...to/3bw6joS

cpu: https://amzn.to/...to/39waVtE

ram: https://amzn.to/...to/3bwhe28

hard drive: https://amzn.to/...to/2ONQznB

and the 2tb from you

Housing: https://amzn.to/...to/3by73tS

Power supply: https://amzn.to/...to/2HiEToA

I don't know if it suits every taste but I also find it aesthetic.

be

Do you have a specific monitor recommendation? Do me a little hard there.

be

And which AMD graphics card?

be

Looks quite good too, because of the lack of experience I can hardly guess which RAM is more worthwhile etc. By the way, housings in white look good.

pa

Let's say that. The ryzens like fast ram and you can tell from the fps and the casing… Yeah, I bought one myself and was more than enthusiastic. That is also available in black. Looks awesome but the white one was an eye catcher. Most of all I like it because you can't remove the front but inside the device for the front fan already ^^ Simply mega.

be

But is there also good ventilation? Airflow and so? I don't want the whole thing to overheat: ^)

Se

It looks good so far. Except for the mainboard. For example, Mindfactory advises that an update is required for the Ryzen 3000 series. So I would go for an MSI board in the Max version. The manufacturer has already prepared them for the 3000 series. Otherwise I have had only bad experiences with AsRock so far. I have been building 50-60 PCs a year for about 15 years. And unfortunately, the entire time, AsRock didn't even attract attention. The main problem with these boards is the lack of longevity. On the other hand, there are some who swear by AsRock boards. I would definitely recommend this board to you.

If it can also be an ATX board, then I would take this. One of the most popular MSI B450 boards.

I have no problems with the casing. But if it doesn't suit your taste look at this time. https://amzn.to/...to/2SFqgRA

It's also a good one and there are great reviews on YouTube about it.

Biliger - Check, Mash Front-Check and much more ^^

Got the RX 5700 XT. I'm super satisfied and it is now and then around 360 euro.

Monitor brand doesn't matter. Look for 144hz, WQHD and 27 inches.

be

Thank you. Any monitor recommendation by chance? I was advised against 32 inch FHD.

be

Find it online only for 450, is then too expensive for me with all the accessories I still need. Doesn't it matter whether the monitor has FreeSync or G-Sync to be compatible with my current graphics card?

Se

First of all, it depends on how high your budget for the monitor can be. If it should be higher, the question would be whether it should be a 144 Hz monitor. Or a WQHD or both. WQHD 144 Hz monitors are very expensive. And in general, you can also say that the most common size of the monitors used by gamers is between 24 and 27 inches.

I would take it too. At least if I would buy a FullHD. On the other hand, there are definitely even cheaper FullHD, which are also good. But if the budget is, of course, nothing speaks against the monitor. Sometimes you should treat yourself to something. However, you have to reckon here that there are many envious people, from whom you can only hear that you have to be far too stupid to buy such an expensive monitor. But don't let yourself be lulled and make yourself happy with it.

G-Sync is for Nvidia cards, FreeSync for AMD cards.

It is really great. PS: The graphics card is at RTX 2070 level.
