Recently I have been thinking about buying a new PC because my laptop doesn't handle all games as well as I imagine it to be. But now I've also had the plan to work out my own mining rig for a long time, and since the courses are so extremely good at the moment, the need to finally get involved does not diminish. Now I thought that if I put some money in my hand and something like, for example, I would. Ne gtx 3080/90 get and also a good processor that I could gamble and mine with it in theory or not? I don't mean parallel, of course. Is there anyone who knows their way around and can tell me whether this is a schnapps idea or whether it makes sense to just get a GPU? If not, could I alternatively not take 2 less performing cards?
Mining is not worthwhile here in Germany because of the electricity prices. And it harms your GPU. (As far as I know)
Yes, the GPU will be exhausted in the long run at full load.
Ne RTX 3080 costs ~ 2300 euro, ne RTX 3090 ~ 2800 euro. It takes ~ 1 year until you have the money back in there. Provided, of course, that the cryptocurrency market doesn't crash. If that happens, you've wasted a lot of money
There's no GTX 3080/90.
Won't be worth it
I mean an Rtx, of course
Okay: / should the net actually be "cheaper"? Do you have any ideas for a better setup in that direction?
Well at the moment already with two Rtx 3080, that's easily 300 euro profit per month and even if the prices should fall a little again, that's actually possible.
Reason? So the way I calculated it should be pretty profitable right now, shouldn't it?
So it's not really worth it in Germany because of the electricity prices - there's a reason why people who make a lot of money with it don't have data centers here in Germany
Actually already. But if everything is bought up by mining companies, Corona, scalpers and the trade war between the USA and China do not make things any better
Of course, if I want to earn money as a company with mines I go abroad, but with net 3090 I get 8-9 euro profit per day, for me it's worth it.
Okay, do you know any cheaper alternatives?
