I would like to buy a laptop or a PC in a few weeks and I basically don't know what to look for when making a purchase or which PC / laptop just suits me. I definitely want to have windows 10 as the operating system. Brief facts that I will do with the laptop / PC. I would like to use it for several hours almost every day, but not for gaming but for learning, watching videos, programming or mining cryptocurrency. It should be durable and also be able to withstand more power. My budget is a maximum of 800 euro. Can you get a good laptop / PC for this budget and if you can answer the question, can you tell me which device (i.e. PC or laptop) would be more suitable for the points mentioned?

Ps. If it should be a PC, it would be nice if you could write the individual parts. Since I don't want to buy a finished pc, I will build one myself. (Saves money.

You can't get a good PC for 800 euro, but you can always get a laptop. If you don't want to gamble anyway, that's enough

A laptop with the same performance as a PC is generally more expensive because the components have to be more compact. Mining crypto currencies is hardly worthwhile in Germany because electricity is quite expensive. In the long run, mining cryptocurrency damages your graphics card.

Right now you're just stupid if you build a PC yourself. The graka market saves a lot of time with a finished PC and also 100-300 euro depending on the graka

This calculator is currently floating around on MyDealz.

It currently has a very good P / L ratio.

An R5 3600 is installed as the CPU in the combination with a GTX 1660 and 16GB RAM.

There's only 500GB of memory available, which is easily enough for programming and surfing.

But mining crypto currencies in Germany is only worthwhile under very specific circumstances. This is particularly due to the extremely high electricity costs. And you should also consider the higher demands on the hardware.

→ Long-term high temperatures are NEVER good for computers. Therefore, just because you want to mine crypto, a laptop just falls out.

If you don't depend on the portability of a laptop, I definitely recommend a desktop PC. It's a lot easier to maintain, and it's faster and cooler for the same money.

Good news: If you neither gamble nor want to deal with graphics programs, it will be pleasantly cheap for you.

Bad news: For mining to be worthwhile, you need a graphics card with a good performance / power consumption ratio. Middle and upper class GPUs are all rare and / or available for moon prices.

First of all, I have put together a handy setup without a graphics card (with integrated graphics). That is so far below 800 euro that you could look for a used GTX 1060 or something similar on eBay classified ads, for example. If the prices were normal, I would build a GTX 1660 with your budget (Conrad is currently listing one for 300 euro. By far the best offer: https://www.conrad.de/de/p/asus-grafikkarte-nvidia-geforce-gtx1660-evo-6-gb-gddr5-ram-pcie-x16-hdmi-dvi-displayport-2344664.html?hk=WW1 - 2 years ago I bought a 1660 for 200 euro. No discount.). I chose the power supply so that a GPU of this caliber could easily be supplied, should you decide to install it. Any GPU less than 40cm in length fits into the case.

Your question raises another question for me: Do you already have a keyboard / monitor or is it planned to purchase it with the 800 euro?
