Can a PC get broken during transport?

My parents are separated. Unfortunately, I'm a creator and would like to get a gaming PC soon. With a small case (so that it is easier to carry) I would have to carry the PC every week to the other parent, since I'm there once there. But my dad says that if you carry a PC too many times, pressure could make the motherboard crack. Is that correct?

And woe, you're saying to get a gaming laptop. Gaming laptops are totally overpriced, and still have a damned little bit of performance. In addition, you can't upgrade, and thus not determine the components themselves. In addition, you only have a small screen, which often does not even have Full HD!

It could be rather that by the vibrations and shocks that can't be avoided something happens.

Do you mean something in the size?

To carry the computer too often back and forth and rebuild your setup every time is not very healthy. I would advise you to leave the computer in the place where you will often use it. The good old possibility of "pre-production" then helps. That means you load it up on unlisted high and then load it up on the phone.

Oh that's still easy. That means you want to build yourself?

Of course, a PC can break. It is relatively safe, if you every time the graphics card and remove again.

But even for ITX you pay a surcharge, compared to a "normal" big PC.

I would (even if you do not want that) suggest a laptop. It also gives out which ones you can upgrade.

An i5 8400 and ne 1060 should be enough for now:

You can configure as you like.

addendum:

Or a cube in which the case is horizontal.

@DrBlub You mean a case of this size is, what concerns carrying no problem?

Ma

It's okay for wearing, but it would just go smaller. With easy I mean that you get the parts there still loose, say it is not so tight (have the housing already installed).

But believe me the weight is not so small despite the size because you can block a normal ATX power supply, which is also the hardest thing on your PC
