Hey found an old Hello Kitty laptop today, because of nostalgia I wanted to play a few games. Unfortunately the old batteries have leaked and on the circuit board where the keyboard is. Is it possible to clean it? Or does it have to go to the bulky waste? (Hope not)
You could take the PC apart enough that you can clean the circuit board with distilled water. However, I don't know if this really works or if it does more damage. There are also special board rows, which are mostly used for soldering.
Oki I'll try that. If I can't do that and the writer breaks, I'll just buy a new one on Ebay
Before doing this, really check that everything is discharged and that any built-up bacteria have been removed.
Everything is outside!
Also on the "mainboard"? With normal PCs there's an extra battery that ensures that the PC does not forget everything when it is disconnected from the network.
