Electric shock dangerous?
I'm just at work and accidentally cut the power cable from the laptop with a cutter knife and very large sparks came out. But I didn't feel an electric shock. But now I'm panic and don't know if that was dangerous for my body, I'm now afraid of dying.
So I phoned and my thoughts were completely elsewhere and had this knife in my hand and started cutting around until sparks came out.
I know it sounds stupid but is that very dangerous now? So in the appendix there's the voltage description of the charging cable

If the power supply is still working everything is fine.
You can feel an electric shock, otherwise it is not even known whether you snipped before or after the power supply.
Yes it still works. I just googled and you should immediately go to the emergency room because it is life-threatening
If you haven't felt an electric shock, you haven't received one. Nothing happened to you.
But you should change the cable as soon as possible.

Exaggerating net. And if electricity is supposed to be really dangerous and deadly, then it shouldn't be allowed in Germany. We can be happy that we have safety power. You can't die from electricity or something. Because there's TÜV and CE seal on the power supply. Don't worry.

The knife must have had a wooden or plastic handle that does not conduct
on the one hand it goes with 230V volt purely you would have felt it but it is actually not dangerous unless you have a pacemaker.
on the other side that you put in the laptop, it is only 12 volts which are even more hamloser.
2) Who cuts a cable with a knife?
3) If the cable is damaged I would not plug it into the PC anymore to avoid other problems
4) Have fun with the replacement

With a power supply unit, voltage comes in at one end and voltage comes out at the other, at different levels.
