Will my laptop get faster if I make the resolution worse?
Yes, in playing something, Windows does not really care.
Jain.
For regular use, it makes no difference. The need to compute a desktop and programs running on it is so small that there are hardly any differences even in the measurable range. Noticeably it falls completely off.
N resolution becomes the resolution only in games and other computationally intensive full-screen applications. Here, a lower resolution can lead to a noticeable increase in performance. The result, however, depends heavily on which game you perform and if the graphics card in this case is the component that most likely needs a discharge.
So does that mean that my editing program (Vegas Pro 15) runs faster, if I put my resolution down?
In terms of editing programs, the short answer is No.
With editing programs helps: RAM, RAM and even more RAM and an SSD.
Graphics cards that accelerate rendering are not bad either.
In other words, laptops are not devices that you should use for video editing, if you have the choice.
Not with the relevant rendering steps. Since it takes a maximum of 1-2 seconds for multi-minute operations out. Enough memory and an SSD are the typical brakes when dealing with large files. Processor and graphics card are indeed required in the rendering, but whether the graphics card has 1 or 2% total utilization in the bare desktop display, does not affect the performance noticeably. As I wrote full-screen representations of the factor where the performance comes to fruition. And Vegas is not a full-screen application.
Alright thanks
