Faster Internet Slower to download?

We recently got fiber optic internet from Vodafone, a 1000Mbit line with a new router (Vodafone station, this gray box) and of course this has made our internet connection faster. In my room, which is a bit further away from the router, I use an older laptop via the WLAN signal, I know you should use it via LAN, but that's not so easy with us. And my question is since we still have the DSL connection running on the side, downloads via Google Chrome go faster with the slower connection faster than with the new one, which is faster. As you can see in the values of the speed test. How can that be such a slower worth faster downloads of the time than the new port has?

Don't go to Vodafone! We were previously at Vodafone, before that at Unitymedia. At that time we had a 100k line, of which 10mb arrived. After months of stress and anger with Vodafone, we switched to the gb line. How many mb come from 1gb? 3mb in the download and 10 in the upload. It's really good. Then after eternal trouble with technicians etc. We decided to switch to 1&1. We now have a 100k line there and have never had any problems. Really, Vodafone is just bad. You don't have a month (at least me) when the internet is going well. Lg

Thank you for your perspective on Vodafone, we ourselves don't really have any problems with Vodafone. In itself, the Internet runs relatively well with us and that is enough and something does matter, but best of all, it is via LAN cable, as you can usually achieve almost full speed with it than wireless via WLAN

That is unusual but I'm glad that it is not so bad everywhere

So I don't get the whole 1000Mbits, but that's because I don't have the most modern technology and I don't use a LAN cable either, but sometimes up to 400Mbits come up on the cell phone ^^
