I have an HP Omen laptop.
The other day, while I was away, my hangover was sitting on my laptop keyboard while I was downloading something - must have been pleasantly warm…
Since then I have had the problem that the ESC key and F1 to F10 no longer work. F11 and F12 work in a strange way. Of course, I've already tried FN lock, that's not the reason. I also made sure that the buttons work physically, e.g. Navigate in the BIOS F4 and ESC.
I have already reset the language of the keyboard or set another language as the main language and back again… Without success.
I even tried to uninstall the keyboard in the device manager, but that didn't change anything after a restart either.
Is there any keyboard combination that my stupid (dear) hangover triggered that I just don't know?
Isn't there a way to completely reset a laptop keyboard?
I can do without the F keys, but not without ESC…
Hmm… Even if you tested FN lock… Are the keys double assigned? Is it really ensured that the 2nd function does not work either?
Otherwise I would look in the BIOS to see whether there are setting options or deactivation options. Otherwise maybe reset to standard settings in BIOS and save.
