To my person. I'm not a pro gamer and amateur in terms of technical knowledge in the field of PC technology.
I'm a console gamer who used to love playing command and conquer on my old PC. During the time while playing console games, I kept following what new great strategy games for PC were out there and got excited again to play them. I would only use the laptop for strategy games. I keep playing shooters and so on on my Playstation.
Now to my question: after a long and intensive search, I fell in love with the new HP Omen 15.
But I can't decide between two versions of the HP Omen 15.
The basis is a Ryzen 7 4800, 16GB RAM and a 512 GB SSD and the price is identical to 1300 EUR.
The difference is that one has a g force rtx 2060 with a 60 hz display and the other has a g force gtx 1660ti but with a 144 hz display.
In your opinion, what would be more relevant for strategy games, more hz or a better graphics card, or is the difference between the two cards so enormous or can I use the cheaper variant with the GTX?
Minor matter:
If nothing helps, there's also a variant with a rtx 2060 and 144 hz display. But costs 1400 EUR. But would like to stay at 1300 eur, unless you think that the 1400 eur are a good price-performance ratio.
So because there's only a 15 "screen, in my opinion the 144Herz doesn't do much, so I would personally take the GTX 2060, so you can play better games or have better graphics, and if you do a lot Shooter play then you can simply buy an additional screen, used there are some around 100 euro with 144hertz
Hmm
Moin am currently bidding on the Omen 17 😁.
So I think I don't have to come up with "Bau Pc blablabla"
To your question:
I would definitely recommend the 144Hz, especially if you also play esports titles.
Whether 2060 or 1660Ti:
The difference in performance is not particularly great. I would still invest the 100 more.
But take a look on ebay. I'm Swiss and, as I said, I'm bidding on an Omen 17 with 2060. And that for only CHF 1000. It also has a guarantee. Sometimes something used is worth it.
I have another recommendation for 1,350 euro and that is this device from Lenovo: https://www.notebooksbilliger.de/...1ge+676319
It is a 17.3-inch device with a Full HD IPS display (144 Hz). As in the devices you mentioned, an AMD Ryzen 7 4800H, 16 GB RAM and a 512 GB SSD and an RTX 2060 are built in. Personally, I would prefer Lenovo instead of HP, but everyone has different preferences.
That means you're still under 1,400 euro, have a better graphics card compared to the GeForce GTX 1060 Ti and a 17.3-inch device with a 144 Hz display.
Unfortunately, I did not find a review for the device, but at least the rating of a buyer, which sounds positive: https://www.alternate.de/Lenovo/Legion-5-17ARH05H-(82GN0011GE)-Gaming-Notebook/html/productRatings/1670083?#showRatings
Thanks in advance. I searched for a long time and compared test reports and always came up with the omen. Also in terms of battery life, cooling and, above all, the design.
Thank you. Personally, I'm a little scared of buying a used device. There were already many problems in the circle of friends
And if the things still have a guarantee that would be great.
Yes, you're right. I thank you in any case for your time to answer
