Gaming laptop as a PC replacement?

My question is, how is it worthwhile to get a gaming laptop as a replacement? As already described in my previous question (from 25.02) I need a laptop for homework, etc. And I have considered that as an alternative to a cheap laptop only for standard tasks synonymous sell my PC and thus a powerful gaming laptop can get. Thus, one would have a single system and could sometimes play with friends, etc.

I know that a gaming laptop does not come priced to a pc and in the long term it would be worthwhile to have a pc for gaming and a laptop for the "work", but right now the price makes no difference. Even with the fact that gaming laptops are often warmer and have a short battery life, I realize.

As a gaming laptop I would have thought of the Acer Preditor Helius 300 for 999 euro. It has a 144Hz display, an I7 8750Q CPU, a GTX 1060 6GB graphics card and 16GB DDR-4 2666Mhz Ram. There's also a 250GB SSD.

The alternative would be the HP 255 G7 for 399 euro. This comes along with a Ryzen 3 2200U CPU, 8GB DDR-4 Ram and also a 250GB SSD.

My PC has a comparable performance with the Acer laptop, so it would not be a downgrade for me. I could sell this for about 600 euro + and would have the money for the Helius 300 almost together.

It would be nice if you could tell me your opinion and also to Gaminng laptops in general and would help me in my decision!

Disadvantage of a gaming laptop: hardly battery life, possibly very loud, annoying fan.

If that does not bother you, there's nothing wrong with that. I could not use mine well for the university because the fan and the fact that I could not use it on my lap got on my nerves because of the heat and the weight.

Got an Asus Strix with Ryzen 5 1600 and RX580 and would buy it again. Temps are at the GPU and CPU at 75c

If you want to gamble, I recommend you get a game computer because the laptops are smaller and therefore can't cool well. For example, in my experience with the graphics card (Nvidia Geforce Gtx 940MX) cooled only with a fan cool the processor (Intel Core i5 7200U) and the graphics card. That means that even with my old HP Envy Sleekbook the processor is burned out which is why I can't recommend you a laptop. Can you even look at the Acer Predators with built-in water cooling. These are the only ones that are worth buying but also those that can cost up to 10000 euro. Hope I could help you.
