I would like to start programming or learning to play games. Unfortunately, I have no real knowledge and therefore do not know where to start. Now I have only a small laptop from HP. I would like to program small games like Pacman.
Which programs do I need to start (if possible for free)?
Is my little laptop enough to start?
Where can I get my knowledge?
So I would start with https://processing.org/download/. This is a programming language designed to be as easy to learn as possible and allows you to play small games quickly.
As a teacher, I find myself there, for example.
I always liked to learn from him.
Hardware should not be a problem at first. You do not want to make any high-demand calculations. If you can surf the internet with the laptop, you can also program with it.
So in principle would be personal experience things such as a story plan or structure plan (In our UGTTN gabs no concrete name for it) and a general idea what you want to do. Your plans should follow the SMART principle (Specific | Measurable | Achievable | Reasonable | Time Bound). Of course, you also have to have some idea of math and logic, depending on the complexity of your project. And for program, everything from HTML to python you can learn, some easier and some harder. Speaks here only from my own experiencex since I have computer science this year.
Like Lamanini, I would advise you to https://processing.org. I always recommend this language to beginners, because it was designed for this target group and brings more fun through its drawing surface than other languages initially on the console. So you also have the opportunity to program small games like Pong, Breakout or 4 Gewinnt. Pacman or Super Mario are also possible, but you should start with the little things - starting with learning the basics.
Your little laptop is perfect for that and you'll find plenty of learning resources. You can familiarize yourself with the planning of more complex games.
Nevertheless, it would be advisable to familiarize yourself with the functionality of a search. Your questions are by no means new and have already been answered frequently in older answers.
