For some time, I can no longer play DVDs on my HP laptop properly. It always shows down wide green stripes, there are fast double images, etc. Audio CDs and burned CDs with photos are flawless.
I use the VLC media player. Have already removed this, re-downloaded, updated. Did not help anything. The drawer can probably not lie, because all other media yes, right?
Turn off the hardware and software decoding.
Oh dear, I do not even know what a decoding is or where I find this. In system control (win10)?
Incidentally, it does not work anymore with the old DVDs, which I have played many times before.
Nevertheless many thanks.
In the VLC player setting
Maybe even renew your video driver.
You still need the libdvdcss library. You can download it here: https://github.com/...dcss-2.dll Then copy this DLL manually into the installation folder of VLC Player.
