DVD doesn't play properly?

First use: select language, in Paramount style. Then directly episode selection etc. In German.

Meanwhile: Direct episode selection in English, without the paramount intro and the DVD spitting around and I can only see the first episode no matter what I do, even with the episode selection and play everything.

This is the case with my DVD player and on the laptop. With my laptop I gave VLC 1 title as the starting position and suddenly everything was normal. (I don't know how I did it) My DVD player doesn't have the right settings… Why is that with the DVD? The DVD is new and this is the case with every DVD (I ordered a series)
