Since yesterday, the Windows key on the keyboard no longer works for me. I did not hit it or anything else. I really need this button because I often use keyboard shortcuts. I have already installed the drivers and have already done a scf scan. I can't buy a new keyboard because it is a gaming laptop → HP OMEN. I ask for help. Thanks and have a nice day. ----> The problem has been solved.
Probably there's a button or a keyboard shortcut with which you can disable this button… On my cherry keyboard is a cherry symbol at the number pad:-)
I already have a button that is the logo of Hp omen but when I press the omen control center opens
There are basically 4 options:
-Malfunction
-Verbemmt, for example, because dirt is underneath (times with cell phone flashlight and look bright, you can clean eg with compressed air)
-In the Bios disabled: maybe there's a setting for your laptop in bios, so look in there [but I consider extremely unlikely, especially that it is activated by itself, or have you recently made a bios update or something?)
-Per software disabled. With gaming keyboards, there's often a setting (possibly even a key combination) with which the Windows key can be deactivated (so that you do not accidentally press it while gambling & being thrown out of the game). See if HP has pre-installed a Einstellübgsprogramm. Maybe you can sometimes test from a live system, if there's the key (so you can narrow down the error & exclude the above possibilities so)
Thank you very much for the detailed explanation. I finally found a small icon on the keyboard. Here we go again.
Maybe in combination with the FN button or man has to press long… Maybe there's something in the manual:-)
Many thanks for the answer. I finally found a small icon on the keyboard. Here we go again.
