I really need help urgently!

Everything was great with my laptop, I talked on the phone and everything else. Then I closed it, charged it and wanted to use it again a few hours later… BUT now half of my laptop has stripes and a black spot?! I can still tap everything and work with it, but I can't see half of it

Does anyone have any idea how I can get that away? Is it just a virus? (Hp model)

Please please please help me

Le

The black spot probably means that the screen is broken, did you hit a small stone when closing it or something

Yo

No, but my headphones… That will probably be the reason

Le

Could also be due to the graphics card try that

Find the external graphics port on your notebook. If you are not familiar with this, we will show you https://praxistipps.chip.de/...iede_19011 where you can find it.
Find a monitor that you can plug into your laptop. Tip: If there's an HDMI connection on your laptop, with a bit of luck you could have a flat-screen TV at home - provided you have the right cable.
Connect the monitor to your laptop and start it up. If your external monitor is unimpressed by the colored stripes and you can see everything without interference, there's a display error.
If you see the colored stripes on the external monitor, it is probably due to the graphics chip. Replacing it is something for hobbyists, there's no guarantee of success here. The safest thing to do is to replace the device.

If you closed it and had the headphones or something inside, Dan did it

Maybe just a loose connection, or graphics memory, or heat? Error in the driver. I would shut it down, let it cool down, open it a few times, and try again.

Addendum, headphones? Then he wasn't really on standby?!

Yo

I just assume that it was just the headphones… Well, he was older too

Bi

Try again later. Theoretically, you can also replace the display or continue working on the external monitor.
