Reboot fail. What to do?

I just had my laptop on now it suddenly tried to reboot but it didn't work. Switching on and off doesn't help either. Can someone help me there? With F12 I think you can do something, but I can't see through it. When I press a button it tries to start and this warning comes up again

No system hard drive can be found, so it is probably gone.

But the part is really badly old. The message screams that the hard drive has been smoked and I can only wish you that a) the budget is available for a more up-to-date device and b) no important data was on it without an external backup.

You could still try to boot Linux with a suitable data carrier and see whether recoverable data can still be found on the hard disk. Otherwise you were unlucky.
