I have to create a radio play for a project in school.
Of course, the text already exists, but it hapert very much to the implementation.
Unfortunately, I have no idea how to do it. I do not know if I need a special program to record my voice, to insert sound effects and music, or if a simple recording with the phone is enough, which I somehow pull on the laptop, etc.
Could someone please tell me how I could implement my project?
I would recommend vlt Audacity. Is a multi-track software. So you can record several tracks one after the other with a micro one after the other, change the volume levels of the tracks, add extra tracks and add audio, apply effects. The project file is kept in tracks and you can continue working at any time. At the end everything as MP3 or other format export.
So you need a mic, of course. As a program to record your voice is Audacity (free) for music and effects Mephielt a video / audio editing program. I would take a video editing program (little experience with audio processing programs.) Handy takes a lot of environmental noise and rushes too.

Yes Audacity does not provide any. If they are in your video editor, ok. It's just a one off project (I think). Since you rarely feel like investing and such samples are just found in the network for download. Since then Audacity is sufficient to mix and process. That's why I was surprised. ^^

Do not forget the old trick of the Bauhaus students: take the cell phone under the blanket, so you get a dry audio track.

However, I respect the microphone a question. Is it enough to have a headset with a microphone or do I need a particular one, which you can see for example in many Youtubers (just not so expensive and extravagant)?
Do you just have to try it? So in audacity objections and you then hear how loud your background noise or how strong the noise is.
You're right that you could actually use it with your cell phone. Is not worse than a cheap microphone. Then on the PC and rework.
