Memory stick is spinning?

I recently sent my laptop in for repair and previously copied all important documents from me to a stick because the workshop could not assure me that the laptop did not need to be reset, and then used the stick again and again to work on my sister's laptop to work (temporarily). He's been spinning somehow since tonight. I once took a photo of the box that comes every time I insert the stick. I don't know much about computers and I don't know what's going on, so I hope someone can help me out here. It says that everything on the stick will be deleted when I format it, which I definitely don't want. I really need the documents on it and I'm totally confused because it worked less than an hour earlier (just with a little loose contact).

Memory stick is spinning
So

Probably pulled out during a save and damaged file system. You can format the stick (quick format) and then run Recuva over it. Most files can be restored with it.

That doesn't look good at all. The stick seems to be broken, so Windows thinks it is not formatted.

This means that you have lost all of your data.

Next time it would be better to save twice on separate memory sticks for security.

I would try to stick the stick in a Linux system

Just format it.
You will later restore all data using the Recuva program.

The only important thing is that when formatting the file system is exactly the same as it was before.
