Windows search somehow not responding?

I click on "Enter text to search" and it works quite normally. But I want e.g. On something in this field press "Open" or no idea. My laptop does not react to "documents" even though I click on it with the mouse. Everything freezes and I only get results when I press Enter, nothing else works.
I need really quick answers because I just bought the laptop today and I'm really worried that something in the system won't work!

I ask for feedback!

In the picture I want to click on "Apps", but nothing happens. I have to press Enter first to get a result.

Try to restart the laptop, if you have further problems you should contact the seller or send the laptop back

Windows Search / Explorer is pure garbage.

"Everything" is much better there and finds documents in seconds.

As for a search bar problem, I have no idea.

I have no idea what you can do there but one thing I can say. Windows is always buggy. After every update there's always something new that is really annoying
