Why are laptops so bad with HDD and so good with SSD?
SSDs are just faster.
SSDs are much faster, i.e. Windows boots quickly and programs / games start quickly.

Ssd are much faster. But costs more.
Prices have dropped significantly over the years. You get the little models thrown afterwards. So with the costs you have to see what size you need.
As the others have already written because the reading and access times are significantly faster and because many manufacturers instead of the faster 7200rpm HDD only take the 5400rpm, which is clearly noticeable again.
