I just wanted to log on to my laptop and the password was always incorrect, so I tried to reset the password by entering the security questions.
I noticed that some keys now spit out numbers instead of bay letters, e.g. When I press the U key - no matter whether upper or lower case, the 4 is output.
I had the laptop in standby mode, maybe the whole thing was changed by a random key combination, I can't explain it otherwise.
How can I reset the keyboard or how do I get access to the laptop again?
Is the caps lock key active?
No is not active
Please look if there's any Numlock on it or next to it. You can then use the FN key and this key to normally change the number pad. If that doesn't work try "FN" + "F7", "F8" or "Insert" or "Insert"
Can you please tell us the manufacturer and model of your laptop
Model is an ACER Swift SF314-56series
Now have access after manual shutdown, as soon as the laptop is booted or as soon as it goes into standby mode, the keyboard settings are incorrect again. Only by manually shutting down the settings are normal again, the laptop is booted it is wrong again.
Tried the keyboard shortcuts, no success.
