My laptop is relatively new (bought in August 2019), but the BATTERY is very short.
what can this have to do with?
I don't have large applications open, so the PC doesn't have to do much.
Can the battery be small?
Depends on what you mean by quickly. The battery lasts 1 to a maximum of 2 hours. No matter what the manufacturer claims.
It is exactly like that:-)
Set your date to DAY / MONTH / YEAR and I will give you an answer xD

So everything is normal.
You have a really, really, really small laptop battery.
Sorry, but always ask in advance for all specifications, or ask professionals…
A good battery has around 90 Wh!
Look here:
https://www.lenovo.com/...ng%7Cbrand
Your battery has 33 Wh. This is just 1/3 of the Lenovo battery from my example.
That means you have to leave the laptop on the power supply more… Or just switch to "Max Save Energy Mode", which throttles the processor speed, the brightness and the Internet.
No, absolute nonsense.
Your battery is not even 3000 mAh. This is very, very little for a notebook. Even my smartphone has a bigger battery.
You can't do anything about it. Next time ask here for a good notebook.
Thanks first of all. Is it problematic if I leave the notebook on the power? Soagr when it is at 100%?
Or can it damage the battery?
After a time, he would lose capacity.
If you want to leave it on the power, remove the battery and use it that way. Of course, only if this works with your notebook.
Negative. The battery is installed.
I will just charge every hour * eye rolls *
Most laptops have a rather poor battery life in normal use cases. 37 Wh is really not much for a battery. The only thing you can do is save, e.g. By:
Turns off peripherals (WLAN, cellular, Bluetooth, USB, etc.)
The display brightness decreases
Unnecessary background services closes (ideally take it directly from the autostart)
Efficient applications used (there are large discrepancies, especially between native applications and packaged web apps)
No antivirus software used (even Windows Defender still needs a lot of performance and if you are reasonably competent you don't really need protection)
If that is still not enough for you, you should pay closer attention when buying. My ThinkPad has two batteries with a total of approx. 120 Wh (→ up to 17 hours of runtime if you are economical) and the external battery can even be changed during operation.
No, that's also bad, because then you use the battery even when it is not necessary. At Lenovo you can activate the charge maintenance mode in the Vantage application, which means that the battery e.g. Only until 80% is charged, that is much gentler. I do not know if this works with all Lenovo devices, but I have also seen it with some non-ThinkPads.
That would be far too consistent and boring:
Thank you xD
Sorry for the "not helpful"
Was helpful, thanks!
