At the moment I just put my laptop on the table and have connected a monitor and keyboard that I use, but the problem is that the laptop gets extremely hot. I thought I could put it up somehow or something (I was thinking of a laptop stand) but most laptop stands are too small, as my laptop is larger than average (40 cm wide, 27 cm deep) it doesn't fit on any of the ones I look at Laptop stand. Now my question: How can I improvise a laptop stand (build it from everyday objects or something) or otherwise cool down the laptop's temperature?
When you have connected the monitor, keyboard and mouse you can simply put it on a box with a hole on any book.
I had already thought of something like that, but if I put books underneath the laptop still has a very large contact surface with the floor or the books, and I suspect that this leads to the high temperature: /
You can put two books on the left and right and then place your laptop with the edge on each book. Hope you understand what i mean
Oh right, that's a good idea I'll give it a try!
Lego? 2 boards? 2 books? 4 jam jars? First, try out whether that will help.
Okay, I'll give it a try.
I would just clean the laptop. This is part of the normal warranty, as it is caused by poorly designed ventilation.
So far I have sent every notebook in for cleaning within the first two years.
And where is the best place to have them cleaned?
I brought it or sent it to where I bought it.
I think I bought it at Amazon back then: /
You can try cleaning the vents
You can use a https://www.mindfactory.de/...40444.html.
In the energy settings you could reduce the CPU performance, e.g. Minimum 10% maximum 70%. (As long as you don't play 3D games, you shouldn't notice much difference)
First of all, thanks for the answer! I'll try to clean the ventilation slots. With the CPU performance this is a bit unfavorable because I mainly play 3D games: /
That's right, clocking down the CPU is slightly counterproductive when gaming. 😂
