Laptop black screen while booting up what to do?

re

Somehow my laptop was very funny and very slow that's why I turned off the laptop and waited a bit and then turned it on again, but I only see a black screen. I also googled and tried a few things but nothing has brought. Battery is not empty because the charging cable is connected. I'm really scared that the display or something is broken. Do you have any idea what I could do there?

PS: The laptop is 3-4 years old

Connect an external monitor. If it is also black it is the graphics chip

Av

Try to reset it completely, most devices have a specific button.

re

How should this work?

ma

See if the NEN has VGA or HDMI output

Ab

Include a second screen with VGA or HDMI, if you have the laptop. If everything stays dark, your graphics card probably has a "way"

re

Do not have a pc screen

re

Or does it work with a TV?

Ab

TV should go for testing too.

re

It works on the TV but on the laptop the screen is still black what do you have to do then?

me

Then I would say the display is over…

re

Oh and do I have to buy a new laptop or can I repair it?

Ab

Depending on how expensive it was and what is installed. But I think a new one would not cost much more than replacing the display.

me

Just 72 euro cost us the repair of the display,

Not the display directly, but the flex cable to it.

But come out the same. The cable is firmly soldered.

With luck, it is just stuck.

Disassemble laptop to see that.

Ab

That surprised me then. On my Dell, the display should swap CLEARLY more cost… But thanks for this info.

As far as I know there's something like "display replacement for dell" and a "display replacement" -

The former one pays "for dell" a few eggs more…

Ab

Correctly also "eggs" cost money.
